Large quantities of carbon steel plates (Q235B, Q345B, A36, SS400) are stored in our warehouse with clear grade separation and visible mill markings on every piece.
The customer's inspector walks the warehouse to verify thickness, dimensions, surface quality and quantity. We provide full access, sampling support and certificate matching.
Our inspection process is built around the details that matter for carbon steel plate projects: grade accuracy, dimensional tolerance, surface quality and export-ready handling.
Match each plate bundle to its original mill test certificate (MTC), chemical composition (C, Si, Mn, P, S) and mechanical properties (tensile, yield, elongation).
Measure thickness at multiple points, verify width, length, diagonal difference and flatness against ASTM A6, EN 10029, JIS G3193 or your project spec.
Inspect for rust, mill scale, dents, scratches, laminations, pits and roll marks. Check edge condition for burrs, cracks and rolling marks that impair fit-up.
Lay plates on a flat surface and use straightedges. Verify deviation is within tolerance limits for your application.
Count sheets per bundle, weigh bundle, calculate theoretical weight and compare against packing list and contract quantity.
SGS, BV, Intertek or customer-appointed inspection agencies are welcome at our mill and warehouse.

A36: Yield ≥250MPa, Tensile 400-550MPa, Elongation ≥23%
ASTM A6: ±0.3mm for thickness ≤10mm

GB/T 709: ±0.55mm for 8-15mm
